Stoneman Business Park

Stoneman Business Park is located just outside the city of Jamestown in southwestern New York State. Situated on a hill near the shores of  Chautauqua Lake, the park still has about 30 acres remaining for development, with municipal water and sewer, gas, telecommunications and electricity extended into the occupied area of the park.  Four businesses moved into the park in 2003-2005, two of them filling a new 40,000-square foot spec building, and two others in their own new facilities, thus enhancing the park's marketability.  Stoneman Park benefits from its proximity to Jamestown's industrial corridor in that it is served by rail and motor freight lines, and two major east-west arteries, Route 86 and Interstate 90. Chautauqua County Airport is less than 10 miles away, and Buffalo and Erie International Airports are within easy driving distance.  It is also adjacent to Cummins Engine/Jamestown Engine Plant, one of the largest industrial facilities in Chautauqua County.

Stoneman Business Park can draw skilled labor from Chautauqua and Cattaraugus counties in New York, and Erie and Warren counties in Pennsylvania. Keeping skills updated is important, of course, and subsidized training programs are offered throughout the Workforce Investments Boards' Chautauqua Works,  The Manufacturing Technology Institute at Jamestown Community College, and Board of Cooperative Educational Services (BOCES).

Chautauqua County Industrial Development Agency  (CCIDA) www.chautauquacounty.biz offers a variety of innovative tax and finance incentives, including  revolving loan funds and industrial revenue bonds with attractive lending rates, in addition to assistance with environmental concerns.  The park's recent addition to the Greater Jamestown Empire Zone has resulted in additional incentives.
